| You supply one photo-quality headshot (preferably 3x5 - 5x7) plus two to three reference photos. These photos will be returned with the finished product. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost is required when the contract is signed (see sample contract below). The balance, plus shipping & handling is due prior to delivery. A digital photo of the completed ornament will be emailed to you prior to shipping. Your satisfaction is assured. Your ornament will typically take six to eight weeks for delivery. |

| Sample Contract for a Portrait Ornament Commission Date: Artist: Maria Awad Purchaser: ________________ Description of Portrait Ornament Commission: Maria Awad agrees to paint in acrylic, a portrait ornament for (Purchaser) of (subject) based on photograph(s) that (Purchaser) provides. It will be painted on a 2.5 inch, 65mm, frosted glass ornament ball. The portrait will be of the head of the subject with no background. The ornament will be completed no later than _____________. Payment: (Purchaser) agrees to the total cost of ($____) for this portrait ornament and will pay a deposit of ($ 50%) at the start of the project and ($ balance + S & H) upon completion and before delivery. A digital photo will be emailed to (Purchaser) prior to delivery. Cancellation: In the event of a cancellation by (Purchaser), Maria Awad will retain the deposit of ($ 50%) and any artwork produced. Satisfaction: Satisfaction is assured. However, if (Purchaser) is dissatisfied with the artwork even after Maria Awad's best efforts to reach (Purchaser's) satisfaction, Maria Awad will retain the deposit of ($ 50%) and any artwork produced. Copyrights: (Purchaser) acknowledges that Maria Awad will always own the copyright and the right to show the painting in her portfolio. Maria Awad will retain slides, photographs and/or computer images of the painting for use in exhibits, competitions or publications. She will maintain the anonymity of the subject. |
