Description of Commission:
Maria Awad agrees to paint in oil a portrait or other painting for (Purchaser) of (Subject) based on photograph(s) that (Purchaser) provides. The portrait will be ( X inches) and will be painted on cotton duck stretched on wooden supports suitable for framing. The painting will be of the (head/shoulders) of the subject on a plain background. The painting will be completed no later than ___________.
Payment:
(Purchaser) agrees to the total cost of ($________) for this painting and will pay a deposit of ($ 50% ) at the start of the project and ($ balance + S&H) upon completion and before delivery. A digital photo will be emailed to (Purchaser) prior to shipping. This price does not include framing costs.
Cancellation:
In the event of a cancellation by (Purchaser), Maria Awad will retain the deposit of ($ 50% ) and any artwork produced.
Satisfaction:
Satisfaction is assured. However, if (Purchaser) is dissatisfied with the artwork even after Maria Awad's best efforts to reach (Purchaser's) satisfaction, Maria Awad will retain the deposit of ($ 50% ) and any artwork produced.
Copyrights:
(Purchaser) acknowledges that Maria Awad will always own the copyright and the right to show the painting in her portfolio. Maria Awad will retain slides, photographs and/or computer images of the painting for use in exhibits, competitions or publications. She will maintain the anonymity of the subject. |
